What the files do and do not say

There is no sourced Lower Parel drive time from Bandra or BKC in our files. The nearest hard figures are the Bandra to Worli time over the Sea Link, about 10 minutes at peak, and a projected 10 to 15 minutes from Marine Drive to Bandra on the Coastal Road.

Worli is not Lower Parel, so do not read the Sea Link figure as a Lower Parel time. Add the last leg using a live map.

Because the sources are silent on the final leg, the honest comparison is between the corridors rather than the times. The sea corridor gives a short road path as far as Worli and relies on a toll. Line 3 avoids road traffic but depends on which station is nearest your office, and rail depends on where you board.

Guide

Corridor 1: the Bandra-Worli Sea Link

The Sea Link is 5.6 km with 8 lanes. It starts at the Bandra junction of the Western Express Highway and SV Road and ends in Worli. It opened on 30 June 2009, with full opening in 2010. Before it, peak Bandra to Worli took 20 to 30 minutes (Wikipedia, 2026). A toll applies, and sources conflict on the rate.

Buyers near the approach, such as in Reclamation, reach it fastest. See the Sea Link guide.

Corridor 2: the Coastal Road

The Coastal Road phase 1 (Marine Lines to Worli, 10.58 km) opened on 11 March 2024, and the connector to the Sea Link opened to the public on 27 January 2025. It is for cars and state buses only (Mumbai Live, 2025). Its link to the Sea Link gives an alternative path south, with the 10 to 15 minute projection for Marine Drive to Bandra. We do not have a sourced Lower Parel time on it.

Guide

Corridor 3: Metro Line 3

Metro Line 3 is open from Aarey JVLR to Cuffe Parade (33.5 km, 27 stations), with the final phase opening on 8 Oct 2025. Bandra Colony, BKC, Dharavi and Santacruz are the nearest stations to Bandra. Our files do not list the individual central Mumbai stations, so confirm the station for your destination with the operator.

Ridership was around 150,000 a day in 2025, per Wikipedia (low confidence, possibly outdated).

Guide

Checks before you decide

Use these checks alongside the table above.

  • Run the route on a live map at your commute hours, because no Lower Parel time is published in our sources.
  • Compare the Sea Link toll and the Coastal Road rules against your vehicle type.
  • Ask the operator which Line 3 station is closest to your office, as our files do not name the central stations.
  • Treat the 10 minute Sea Link figure as a Bandra to Worli time, not a Lower Parel time.
